Busy, busy, busy...

I went back to work 2 weeks ago.  It was sad to leave my baby, but luckily I had wonderful hands to leave him in, so that made it a whole lot easier for me to go back to work.  Jacoby chose to wait until the week I started working again to begin sleeping through the night.  Better late than never, I guess.  He knew Mommy needed her sleep that week!  The Sunday after my first week, we had tickets to go to the Colts/Patriots game in Indy.  Probably not the best timing, but it all worked out and was a lot of fun!!!  We went with our friends Autumn and Andy while Jacoby had his first sleepover at Grandma and Grandpa's.  I returned at 2:30 am and then got up around 5:30 to get ready for school.  Needless to say, I went to bed pretty early that night.  Here are some pictures from the game.

Of course Andy had to make a funny face.  I'm surprised Adam actually smiled in our picture!

The Indianapolis Fire Department spread this huge flag out over the field for the national anthem.  It was really neat!

Jacoby is now 6 months old.  I can't believe that I've been a Mommy for half a year.  Here are the picturesI took with his elephant for 6 months.  I did take him to Sears for some more 6 month pics, but I did not buy the cd, so I don't have those pictures to share.  They turned out pretty cute, too, though.

Jacoby started to wrestle with his elephant after I took a few pics.

This past weekend was very busy as well.  On Friday, Adam and I went to see New Moon- yay!!  Saturday was Jacoby's pictures at Sears and then we went to Washington for my niece, Elaina's first birthday party that was combined with her cousin, Addison's 2nd b-day.  Elaina has grown so much, but Jacoby has almost caught up to her!!

And finally, I just had to share this picture of Jacoby all bundled up to go out in the cold weather.  I love this little hat!

A Little Dino

WOW--- I'm way behind, but here are some Halloween pictures.  We didn't do too much, but we took our little dino to the mall because Adam needed to get some pants, so we figured we'd go ahead and put Jacoby in his costume since they were trick-or-treating at the mall.  Then we went to my parents' house where we "skyped" Matt, Victoria, and their little ladybug, Elaina.

This last picture cracks me up.  Notice Jacoby's grip on Grandma's earring and the look on his face...

Some Videos for You!

Jacoby is 5 months old!!  He has changed so much just during this month.  I was looking at some of the videos we've taken of him and on October 1, he was just starting to figure out how to roll over and now he's rolling over like a champ!  I was trying to pick out which video to put on here and ended up with 5!  As you can tell, Jacoby is a huge source of entertainment for us!  Here is his 5 month picture taken with his elephant and then be sure to hit play on the videos after the picture.  Stay tuned as we'll have some pictures from Jacoby's first Halloween posted soon.  I'm also adding some new photo albums - look for September and October pictures on the right side of the screen under photo albums.

4 Months, Rice Cereal, and a Happy Baby!

Jacoby turned 4 months old on Sept. 18th!  He's growing very quickly!  This is his 4 month picture with his elephant.

We started him on rice cereal and he's starting to get the hang of it!  He gets quite messy, though, especially when he sticks his fingers in his mouth full of cereal.

Adam wants to make sure that Jacoby becomes a Red Sox fan at an early age.  I think it's working...

Jacoby likes to play in his jumperoo, but I think I let him play a little too long on this particular day!

I've tried so hard to catch a picture of him smiling big, and I finally got it...

Here's a little video of my baby boy laughing.  His good mood came out of nowhere.  He had been screaming his head off, I picked him up, he spit up all over both of us, I set him down to wipe us both off and then this is what he did...

And lastly, I finally finished the wall art in the nursery- here it is.

New Pictures

I took Jacoby to Sears today to get his 3 Month pictures taken.  What a difference from the last time we were there.  Last time, he fussed the entire time... today, he laughed and smiled the whole way through!  He was definitely a ham today.  I added all of the pictures from the session in my photo albums on the right side of the screen.  If you haven't looked at those photo albums lately, I also added some more July pictures a week or so ago.  Here's one of my favorites from today.

Jacoby is 3 Months Old!

Jacoby turned 3 months old on August 18th.  I haven't taken him in to get his professional 3 month pictures yet (hopefully we'll do that sometime this week), but I took my monthly picture of him next to his elephant.  It's amazing how quickly he is growing.  I included his 1 month picture right after the first one so you can see the difference.  (Notice also how much less hair he has now than he did 2 months ago!)

Jacoby is enjoying his jumperoo now.  He loves staring at the toucan hanging above his head and playing with a noisy ball.  He actually reaches out and touches the ball!

Another cute thing that Jacoby has started doing lately is putting his arms up behind his head.  When he eats, he almost always has one arm up touching the back of his head.  When he sleeps or is getting sleepy they go up as well, but he even likes at least one arm up if he's just laying around.  Here's a picture I caught of him doing this on the floor.
Adam and I picked out this hat for Jacoby before he was born and I just couldn't wait to try it out on him.  It's a little big, but I think he looks pretty cute!
This last picture is of Jacoby with his dino-pal and matching pjs.  The dinosaur has a crazy laugh when you squeeze him and Jacoby was making the funniest faces, but I couldn't quite catch them on camera.  You may be seeing some pictures in the near future of Jacoby wearing a dinosaur costume!!! :)
This past week was Adam's first week away at the police academy.  Jacoby and I did pretty well here by ourselves, but we sure did miss Adam!  There were a couple of late nights, but we made up for it by napping during the day.  We also checked out our new snazzy Newburgh Walmart that opened this week.  Adam is leaving at around 3 am on Monday to go back to the academy for week 2 of his 16 week training.  I'm hoping this week goes by as quickly as last week did!  Maybe I'll work on getting some videos on here this week.

Doc Visit and Cricut

Jacoby had his 2 month well visit last week. He weighs 13 1/2 lbs. (we thought he weighed more) and is 24 1/4 inches long. He is in the 75th percentile for both. The doctor thinks he has acid reflux, which explains some of his fussiness. We started him on a prescription and I think it's starting to help. Poor guy. He's doing a lot more kicking and "talking", but is apparently camera shy, because he stops as soon as I pull the video camera out every time. I'm still working on getting a good video. Oh, Jacoby is also balding. He saw cousin Elaina's "do" and thought he'd copy. :) Here are a few pictures of our boy. I love his shirt in this first one!

He has found a new friend. Jacoby usually smiles when this monkey gives him kisses.

Prince Jacoby. I don't know why, but I think it's hilarious when I'm changing him and his shirt gets stuck on his head.

This is for Aunt Glo and anyone else who likes to scrapbook. I started working on Jacoby's scrapbook with the help of my new Cricut (not the bug, the die-cut machine) that Adam got me for my B-day. Aunt Glo and the girls also gave me a ton of supplies for my baby shower. This is what I try to do when Jacoby will actually take a nap in his crib. (He's a bit of a Momma's boy.) Here are a couple of the pages I've done.
