Jacoby's First Christmas

Jacoby is 7 months old now!  Here he is in his Christmas outfit.

We went to my parents' house because my mom and I were going to bake some cookies.  My grandparents were there, so Great-Grandma Rust watched Jacoby while we baked.

I was obviously way more excited about Christmas than anyone else.  We set cookies and milk out for Santa on Christmas Eve.  Adam was appauled that I was going to waste milk, so after the pictures, I drank it.

We gave Jacoby a Christmas bow mohawk.

Jacoby wasn't sure what to think about this teether.  It vibrates when he bites down on it.

Jacoby got a pony for Christmas.  He looked so cute on it!

Here's Jacoby with all of his loot from Mommy, Daddy, and Santa of course!

Christmas evening was spent at my parents' house.  Adam had to go to work at 6, so we all just hung out there and watched a movie.  As you can see, Jacoby is getting pretty good at sitting up on his own.  Here he was caught with his hand in the cookie jar.  :)

We had a great Christmas and can't wait to see Matt, Victoria, and Elaina tomorrow and then we're traveling to Massachusetts next Thursday to visit Adam's family.  Jacoby gets to meet his cousins, uncles, and aunts out there.  This will also be Jacoby's first plane ride so pray that all goes well!

Thanksgiving and Adam's Graduation

It's the day after Christmas and I'm just now getting around to posting about Thanksgiving.  Oh well... So for Thanksgiving, my parents and our friends, Autumn and Andy, came to our house for dinner.  I did my first turkey which turned out to be way easier than I thought it'd be.  We had a fun evening and enjoyed TONS of food!  Adam decided to give Jacoby a mohawk for the celebration.

Here are some family Thanksgiving pictures we took.  Jacoby was being so funny!  He kept giving me kisses when we were trying to take a picture of the 3 of us.

Adam's parents got to our house late Friday night and on Sunday, we all went to Indy for Adam's graduation from the IN Law Enforcement Academy.  Jacoby did well on his first night in a hotel.  We also discovered Jacoby's first tooth while we were there!

Adam's graduation was on Tuesday and my parents and Autumn and Andy met us for it.  All of my pictures from the ceremony were too dark, but we took several afterward.  We had a great time.  Jacoby and I are so proud of Adam and we're really glad that he's back home now!!

Busy, busy, busy...

I went back to work 2 weeks ago.  It was sad to leave my baby, but luckily I had wonderful hands to leave him in, so that made it a whole lot easier for me to go back to work.  Jacoby chose to wait until the week I started working again to begin sleeping through the night.  Better late than never, I guess.  He knew Mommy needed her sleep that week!  The Sunday after my first week, we had tickets to go to the Colts/Patriots game in Indy.  Probably not the best timing, but it all worked out and was a lot of fun!!!  We went with our friends Autumn and Andy while Jacoby had his first sleepover at Grandma and Grandpa's.  I returned at 2:30 am and then got up around 5:30 to get ready for school.  Needless to say, I went to bed pretty early that night.  Here are some pictures from the game.

Of course Andy had to make a funny face.  I'm surprised Adam actually smiled in our picture!

The Indianapolis Fire Department spread this huge flag out over the field for the national anthem.  It was really neat!

Jacoby is now 6 months old.  I can't believe that I've been a Mommy for half a year.  Here are the picturesI took with his elephant for 6 months.  I did take him to Sears for some more 6 month pics, but I did not buy the cd, so I don't have those pictures to share.  They turned out pretty cute, too, though.

Jacoby started to wrestle with his elephant after I took a few pics.

This past weekend was very busy as well.  On Friday, Adam and I went to see New Moon- yay!!  Saturday was Jacoby's pictures at Sears and then we went to Washington for my niece, Elaina's first birthday party that was combined with her cousin, Addison's 2nd b-day.  Elaina has grown so much, but Jacoby has almost caught up to her!!

And finally, I just had to share this picture of Jacoby all bundled up to go out in the cold weather.  I love this little hat!
